Watch Jim Norton, host of Talking Scuba, as he wreck dives Lake Huron’s New York, a wooden steamer who foundered in heavy seas in 1876. The New York is located in 120ft/37m of water and is recommended for only advance scuba divers. This dive was made possible by Bruno’s Dive Shop off their incredibly comfortable dive boat “Great Lakes Diver”.

Break Down
Shot 98% of all underwater footage used in video (other 2% was shot by Jim Norton using a GoPro headcam), edited entire video, created all new the graphics used for future Talking Scuba dive videos, mixed all the sound, did all the photography seen in the ending credits.

In this episode Jim talks about his fun pool dive with Grand Rapids Scuba Club and Bob interviews Valerie van Heest, Shipwreck Explorer and Author. Bob and Valerie chat about the various shipwreck she and her team have found over the past years in the Great Lakes of Michigan.

Directed, post video, created graphics/lower thirds, shot underwater footage during pool session, re-encoded underwater video provided by Valerie, and did the final edit of finalized video.
